In Keel Square, we will kick off the fun with FREE Street Art Workshops from the international artist group Art of Protest Projects as part of our Future Walls project engagement!

Get ready to groove! Sunderland College Students will lead FREE Dance Skills Workshops to get you moving at Market Square. 

We will be joined in Market Square by local Glitter Artists, Glitterwhipped, who will get you all glammed up with glitter tattoos and hair and face glitter.

There will be plenty of arts and crafts on hand in Keel Square, as well as giant garden games such as Connect 4, Dominoes, Jenga, Hoopla, and more!

Look out for some cooky characters across the whole Festival, such as cracking comedy act, Pete and Ged the Gardeners, the Stiltwalking Farmers and Brocolli Buds…

Get your green fingers out—it’s time for some Gardening Goodness in Keel Square! Decorate your very own plant pot, plant some seeds, and watch your hard work come to life. From Sunflowers and Marigolds to Mint, Basil, and other herbs, the possibilities are endless! Why not make a Bird Feeder out of recycled materials or grow your own Grasshead Friend? 

Art of Protest Projects will be back with their FREE Street Art Workshops so you can get your creative juices flowing in Keel Square. 

Local charity Together for Children will be taking over Market Square with Archery, Crafts, Messy Play and more!

Our Giant Garden Games will return to Keel Square and grab a photo with our friends, the Fruit Ladies and comedy act Lord of the Bins, and tag us @SunderlandFoodDrinkFest #HappeningInSunderland

Gardening Goodness returns to Keel Square with FREE workshops on Bird Feeder Making, Egg Cup Decorating, Planting, and Cresshead Friends.

In addition to our FREE Street Art Workshops from Art of Protest Projects, we have Giant Garden Games for the playful and Glitterwhipped Glitter Artists for those who love a bit of sparkle! 

Look out for comedy acts Greenfinger Folk and Liquorish Stiltwalkers, who will be wandering the site for all of your family photo needs.
